Zara Bakshi is a feminist researcher and activist based in Kashmir. Her main research interests include a de-colonial approach to the study of mental health which is rooted in specific cultural contexts.
Zara is a graduate from IPCW, University of Delhi and she completed her MA in Psychology from Ashoka University. Her research thesis explored the identity intersections of Kashmiri women which was published in the South Asian journal of Law, Policy and Social Research. She has presented her work in a number of conferences including at the 31st convention of the American Association for Psychological Sciences in 2019.
